Not too long ago I worked for the top motivation company in the world. I stayed working with that group for about eight years and learned quite a bit about what it takes to retain a good attitude and maintain strong motivation to carry one through to completion of their goals.

What I believe is that these ideas have a definite place in the development of children's attitudes towards life in general and their personal ambitions. The school environment is definitely a great place to teach these skills.

In a magic show, on the other hand, there is a distinct advantage. the advantage is that a magic show is entertainment. I've seen it time and again that children have their guard down during a magic show. The mind is wide open because they know what they're going to see are impossibilities coming to life.

In other words that means they are going to see possibilities and they are definitely looking to see these possibilities. I use the concept edutainment to advantage. The unfortunate part about this scenario   is that they "students" believe the magician is the only person singularly able to create these possibilities out of the impossible.

Not so with Astonishing John! Astonishing John will empower these young minds with the idea that whenever Astonishing John does, they will be able to do as well, if not better. After all, Astonishing John started off even a little worse than everyone attending his performance. He tells the story of this and how he at one point in his life became an apprentice of the impossible. Astonishing John is looking for the next "Apprentice of the Impossible" and all one needs to do to be this apprentice is to volunteer. Astonishing John will give each apprentice of the impossible volunteer a simple written suggestion that could quite literally be a turning point for the best in an alliance of each and every apprentice of the impossible.

Now that's what I call strong magic! On the surface this appears to be a message for the young but it is much more than that. This is a message for the hungry mind. This is a message for the lost art of believing in oneself. This is not a spiritual message. This is a possibility message. The possibility is one can become more than they are now. The possibility exists that they can be their personal best. The possibility exists as a personal best could be much more than anyone around them can possibly see from here. The possibility exists that can be excellent in school, at home with the family, extracurricular
excellence and every endeavor that they may ever undertake.
